Bird Rock, St. Kitts, January 29, 2014 – As a responsible corporate citizen, SCASPA has committed itself to assisting organizations and groups in projects and programs that serve the needs of people within our communities. The Authority has sponsored many programs coordinated by government, nonprofits and other organizations, to further develop the Federation of St. Kitts.

Recently, SCASPA sponsored Operation Candy Cane organized by the youngest National Carnival Queen, Ms. Zinga Imo, National Carnival Queen 2012 – 2013. Operation Candy Cane offered children a dose of “sweetness” through gifts during the Christmas Season. Over the Christmas Season, Ms. Imo along with her organizing team, visited villages throughout the island to spread cheer to children of different ages.

Ms. Imo reported that the initiative was a success.

“Our goal to put smiles on the faces of over 200 children of the Federation was accomplished and will forever be etched in the hearts and minds of those lives that we have touched. Also, as the youngest National Carnival Queen, this has been an experience paramount to any other during my reign.”

SCASPA will continue to network, partner with, and sponsor initiatives that develop the human resource of St. Kitts.
