Seven schools from across the island will compete for academic supremacy and the title of, “SCASPA’s 2016 Best in Class High School Champion,” scheduled to take place in May at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.

Twenty-eight students from Basseterre High, Cayon High, Charles E. Mills Secondary, Saddlers Secondary, Verchilds High, Washington Archibald High and the Immaculate conception Catholic school will be participating in this year’s competition.

The Competition which will take place on every Tuesday and Thursday night in the month of May will quiz the participants on the core subject areas of the third form curriculum – English Language, Integrated Science, Mathematics, Local History and Geography, Current Affairs and Wild. Students will also be quizzed on questions about SCASPA’s operations.

All rounds of the competition will be held in the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. Elimination rounds begin at 7:00 p.m., and the Grand Finale will start at 8:00 p.m
