Job Summary
This position holds accountability and has responsibility for creating SCASPA’s strategy and goals, and for maximizing use of SCASPA’s resources and assets. The Chief Executive Officer provides effective leadership to senior management, and builds and maintains strong working relationships and partnerships with relevant stakeholders. The position is also responsible for facilitating economic development and sustainable growth, particularly in the sectors of tourism and trade. The Chief Executive Officer is responsible to the Board for overseeing business operations efficiently and effectively to ensure SCASPA’s viability.
Minimum Job Requirements

A Master’s Degree in Business Management, Public
Administration or a relevant discipline

Seven years’ experience in a senior management
position
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written
communication skills
- Proactive, visionary and results-oriented leadership style
- Strong customer focus
- Sensitivity to local political and social issues
- Ability to work effectively and confidently with
industry partners, other stakeholders and all levels of
Government
(Industry experience would be an asset.)
Key Duties and Responsibilities

To ensure that the appropriate governance and management structures are in place in consultation with the Board of Directors to effectively execute on SCASPA’s mandate
- To report to the Board of Directors in a manner that allows it to act effectively to safeguard the interests of its stakeholders
- To facilitate the development of staff within SCASPA to create a professional and well-motivated team;
- To negotiate major contracts and agreements with third parties for the provision of services and development of projects
- To ensure compliance with regulations and requirements from relevant regional and international aviation, maritime and security organizations
- To achieve budgetary goals and objectives set over an annual period
- To oversee the implementation of cost-cutting measures and revenue-generating initiatives to improve cash flow and profitability to create a sustainable entity
