About usThe St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) was formed by the Government of St. Kitts & Nevis on August 24, 1993. It started operating as a Corporation in September 1993. The Authority was established to provide for the co-ordinated and integrated systems of Air and Seaport services. It is governed by a Port Act which outlines its operating guidelines eg. duties and responsibilities, structure of Board etc. The main duties of the Authority, as set out in Port Act, are: Duties:
Over 380 employees are employed at SCASPA in the following areas: Administration, Human Resources/Public Relations, Finance/Statistics, Seaport Operations, Marine Division, Tug Division, Security, Airport Operations, Meteorological /Air Traffic Control/Aeronautical Information Services, Maintenance, and Mechanics/Engineering. |
